Hi - first let me apoligize for screwing up the CARE list with bounced e-mail. My office/computer was moved and my projected down time was two hours TOPS - well that turned into over a week and to be honest I'm still not convinced its all back ... my volume of mail is WAY down - I think certain e-mail addresses are not being forwarded to me. Can you please put me back on the care list ? If there are problems with the default "reply" address on this e-mail please let me know - by sending to [log in to unmask] (thats the only one I'm sure is working). I miss everyone on the list - and all the info I can get - especially now that Dad is on his drug holiday. He's actually doing ok - as far as tremor/ walking - his legs are tightening up now and then - but we keep him walking. The worsed is that the Mirapex must have much more of an anti-depressant/anxiety component than we thought cause that is back (he's not sleeping well and is depressed and confused and nauseaous again !! ). But we're going to start Requip Saturday - theoretically we were supposed to wait till Monday - but we put him through more than necessary ? Plus I'd rather start something new when I'm home. Does Requip have any anti-dep components do you know ? I hope so _ i'd hate him to have to do another drug holiday to get back on Mirapex. Thanks Donna > > Donna-- if you want to question neuro about Requip progression, you might tell > him that some folks have been started out on a more gradual dose, to avoid > hallucinations, etc. In Peter's case, because that was the problem with the > Mirapex/Sinemet combo, we were started on ONE ).25 tab 3 X a day, and it > took 9 weeks instead of 3 to reach the end of the sample kit....but no bad > side effects either, and Sinemet was concurrently reduced.
