Rick,

CR is ok.  There is nothing wrong with its use.  I don't think your Doctor is
doing anything grossly incompetent or dangerous.  He probably is doing what most
movement disorders specialists several years ago.  It is a reasonable diagnostic
tool as well. (If you respond it is almost certainly PD  if you don't (over a
period of a month or so)  it would be especially important to follow up more
closely with other diagnostic procedures.

Remember while the list can give you a lot of general information and can point
out grossly incompetent treatment you should use it as a confirming source of
information, not as the provider of definitive medical advise about your
particular situation.  Your doctor knows you and your condition and may have
good reasons for doing something that we are not aware of.  If we differ with
him then talk to him about it.  Most of the list members are not physicians.  I
am but I wouldn't begin to treat  you or anyone else over the net.

I guess the point I am  trying to make is use us for information not for
treatment.   If you can't develop the give and take with him that you want then
get another doctor but with rare exceptions follow his advice.
