Mom was diagnosed on her first visit with a new doctor
(internal/geriatric specialist). He said "I think she has Parkinsons
Disease". I asked what tests were needed to confirm the diagnosis. He
replied that there are no tests and that PD could only be diagnosed
clinically and explained the PD symtoms he could see in mom. He then
prescribed Sinemet and cautioned me about the naussea she may
experience. He loaned me his copy of the Duvoisin (sp?) book. That's
it....

When I got to work the afternoon of the diagnosis, I started searching
the net for any info on PD, found this list, CARE and a bunch of other
sites and have been learning ever since. He now wants me to provide him
with info off the net/list. (Overall, I really do like mom's new
doctor.)
