A friend of mine happens to run the physical therapy clinic at KU med
ctr, so I asked her about the Pfrimmer technique. Here's the gist of
her response:

> I just talked with our two "soft tissue" experts in the physical
> therapy clinic
> and none of us have ever heard of Pfrimmer. It sounds like to
> "myofascial
> release" techniques that we use for people with tightness of the
> muscles and
> fascia (connective layers in the muscles).

..... make the person feel more relaxed and looser for a
> short time.

Although we have talked often about exercise for PWP, apparently my
friend wasn't aware of the dsytonia etc that might be helped by
therapeutic massage -- now she's interested, and she's on the KUMC PD
team, and maybe this topic will get the attention it deserves!
