I have a walker with hand brakes. they are very simple and easy to use. In fact going down a grade I can brake just with a clasping the handel of the walker. There is a nylon strap that is attached just under where you hold your hands and goes down to a metal arm that is pushed against the wheel. very easy to brake and very easy to take brake off.
