Doubtless it does change the properties; certainly some vitamin E is destroyed in
the process. However, the references only give vit.E for the oil, and also don't
comment on whether it's cold-pressed or not.

I recommend raw nuts to all my clients (who aren't allergic to nuts) for the
natural vit.E as well as the abundance of trace minerals. Roasted nuts contain all
the minerals but lose most of the E.
