A cure for us would certainly be nice, but a side effect of this work
might also be that the discovery of these genes would lead to
identification of those children who will, in a few years, develop PD,
and this identification would lead to starting whatever medical
movements that need to be done so they never have to experience the
"Wonderful World of PD."

A toxic cause of my PD would be a great relief to me. Knowing that a
passed-on gene would cause my grandson to have PD when he turns 50 is
something I don't even want to think about. I know this discussion
passed through these pages several years ago. Nothing was resolved then,

but now there is a glimmer of hope that, through this research,  my
grandson may never have to worry about what Grandpa passed along.

Now if I could just get a couple thousand of that money to explore my
premise that the cure for PD involves BBQ........
