Subject: MRDS at MLA 1998 Call for Papers

This is a last-minute call for papers for the two MLA sessions
sponsored by the Medieval and Renaissance Drama Society.  MLA will be
in San Francisco this year.  Please note that all participants in the
conference must be registered members of the MLA by April 1.

Session 1
Early Drama and Visual Culture.
Theorizing and contextualizing spectatorship in early English or
Continental Drama.

Session 2
Performing Female: Embodiment and Personification in the Medieval
Theater.
Use of performance theory and/or gender theory to discuss medieval
performance.
