Dear Jo,
You can also have different options for other keystroke commands.  You can
set it up for pushing the shift,cntrl and alt keys separately from your
commands.  You may also adjust the settings to control the mouse with the
arrow  keys on the number panel off to the right side of the Keyboard.  I
just adjusted mine and it is much easier to make the keys firmer than
before.  You just need to go to control panel and choose accessibility
options.  They include test areas to use trial and error to find the right
speeds for you.
