Debbie, I am a 12 yr. parkinsonian. I have used Ativan tabs 1 mg for about 5 yrs. with no bad effects. I can take up to 3 per day and 2 at bedtime. during the day I just use them "as needed" for an antidepressant. The 2 at night help me sleep and banish the nightmares.
