Ken,
Early days ha!! Try ranching, 7days a week, at present 24 hours days
(calving) we buy everything retail and sell everything wholesale. Our son
took off for 2 days so Don my PD husband had day and night duty. Have to
check the cows every 2 to 3 hours during the night, feed etc during the day.
Cattle prices are about what they were ten years ago. I'm ready for
retirement, but I know this business is what keeps Don going. He has to get
up to get the hired men going. Most of the time they need close
supervision. Consequently he get lots of exercise, but realizes he can't do
what he used to like run fast to get away from a protective Momma cow!!
