Dear Bobby,
I certainly can empathize with the emotional roller coaster you have felt.
I am 37 year old and was diagnosed 7 years ago. I too, had speech problems.
I and others have had correspondence through this list-serve about an excess
of dopamine causing speech problems. My problems were basically stuttering
and what I would term a heavy tongue. There seems to be some data out there
that backs up this theory.
Whatever your daily battle with PD brings, it is always easier to remain as
positive as one's sanity will allow. If there is anything I can do for you
please call on me. There are a few of us younger onset patients in Maine.
Led by the indefatigable Ivan Suzman. He has been blazing a trail for all
of us to follow on World Parkinson's Day, Saturday, April 11th. I will send
my personal phone # thru a personal e-mail. Hope your doing well!
Regards,
Greg Leeman
