Just a small attempt to convey my feelings on this prison of a disease:
Hope=20
First up then down it makes little sense
can=92t show expression not even a frown
the reality is deafening to all that feel
for the off-time is lengthening and dancing is real
swallow or chew it expedite the ingestion=20
take it with orange juice works merely by suggestion
chart it and record it don=92t wait til it=92s late =20
because it will not cure a Parkies peculiar gait
we will remain positive no need to relinquish
the will and the spirit have defeated the anguish
while we swallow hard hope is our symbol
to return our youth and again be nimble
to play a piano or to button a shirt
seems so unfair unable to divert
but if we follow the sun to the promised land
we will soon understand we have finally won!
