Hi Jane... If ya stray off your prearranged itinerary a bit while on the way to Palm Springs, and head on over to Los Angeles (just a coupla hours away from P. Springs), you'd be more than welcome at the San Fernando Valley PD Support Group, meeting every FOURTH Sat .of the month, from 1 to 3 p.m., with members adjourning to a nearby restaurant for a snack and to visit post-meeting). You'll also be most welcome at the PD support group I host/moderate for Encino Hospital.. CanDO! Parkinson's Support Group meets in the San Fernando Valley on the THIRD Saturday of each month, from 1 to 3 p.m., and then adjourns to Jerry's Deli to munch and shmoose. Then there's our "Parkies-on-the-Town" dinners (just plain social events with a buncha the nicest folks ever from both the above mentioned groups and one other, too). Our dinners are USUALLY, but not always on the FIRST Saturday nite of each month. Check with me if ya think you'll be joining us and I'll let ya know day/dates. Hoping you'll make the LA.! Oregon to Fresno,to Death Valley, Palm Springs, Mexicalli, Tuson, El Paso, Carsbad, Roswell, Colorado Springs, Farmington,NM. Blanding, Ut. Provo, and Winnemucca between April 23rd and May 8th. I am a support group leader and would love to visit your groups. 55/19 I have had deep brain stimulation surgery and have about a 70% improvement. Also I have been a research subject at NIH.
