Last year (April 1997) I spent 12 days at NIH as a research subject for Parkinson's disease. While I was there I was interviewed by survey crews supporting the Udall bill. It appeared as if the Drs were indifferent to the bill. I got the impression their funds came from a different source. They expressed their feelings that money from the Udall bill would water down their funding and the Udall bill would earmark their money.
