Fwiw, your comment about individual vs. group judgement brings to mind the astute but unappreciated Bruman's First Law: "The old saw 'two heads are better than one' is dead wrong. Two heads AIN'T better than one. In fact, the bigger the group making a decision, the dumber that decision is likely to be." (This can be rigorously demonstrated in quasi-mathematical form.)
