Margaret asked: "Does anyone have the insert that comes with the medication? Can you please check it?" I have the Tasmar drug insert...what was the info you needed from it? It does say that "liver enzymes should be monitored monthly during the first three months of TASMAR treatment, and every 6 weeks for the next 3 months of treatment. Tolcapone should be discontinued for enzyme elevations greater than or equal to 5 times the upper limit of normal or at the appearance of jaundice" (first seen as the yellowing of the whites of the eyes). ..."To be given with caution to those with moderate to severe liver impairment or severe renal impairment."
