Christine--I have to take exception to your remarks about Writing
Centres:"tethered to the generic conventions of disciplines" ;
"merely serve other disciplines." Yes, those are threats. HOwever,
we have the freedom of being outside of the constraints of any
one discipline, as well as freedom from judging or
grading. Therefore we aren't merely work horses or
servants!
