   Hi Again
Just wanted to add a little more personal data in my research into
PD dyskinesia . I have used sugar/glucose to lessen the effects of
end of dose( L-dopa ) dyskinesia . I believe it does it by boosting
one again into the "on " state , by increasing the glucose level in
the brain . Later on one gets a combined dropping level of glucose
and dopamine in the brain so one drops through the danger zone quickly and with
little dyskinesia . I use sugar to boost me out of beggining dose
dyskinesia ie to boost me into the " on " state if the L-dopa is struggling
to get me there .
I have also used GHB to succesfully stop end of dose dyskinesia .
Its action is not too well understood but it is reputed to drop the
dopamine level in the brain .
Yesterday I tried L-pyroglutamic acid and I got dyskinesia without
taking any L-dopa ! This could be explained by the acid boosting the
dopamine level to the dyskinetic level . More research required here
. I t might be that this acid just increases the chance of dyskinesia
I think stress has this effect . It is self perpetuating . The
dyskinesia causes stress which in turn aggravates the dyskinesia .
I find it very similar to asthma spasm in this respect .
I have also used the electronic stimulation of a TENS machine to
alleviate end of dose dyskinesia . I explain this by suggesting that
the TENS machine stimulation pattern is interferring with the brain
pattern to lessen the spasm . I believe PD to be a neuron brain
firing spasm .
At present I am trying so many different chemicals that it
difficult to sort out what is doing what . ( most do nothing )

     peace
