Jenny,

Be careful of fava beans.  There is a small percentage of the
population (usually of Italian or other Mediterranean ancestry) who
lack an enzyme needed to de-toxify something in fava beans (not the
small amount of Dopamine).  If someone like that eats fava beans,
they can get sick with something called "favism" which can cause
severe (even fatal) anemia and lead to blindness.

You have to eat a lot of fava beans to get enough Dopamine to make a
difference in PD.
