An article in Discover Magazine, Feb 98, page 44, mentions a
study of high rates of PD and Lou Gehrig's disease in Guam and
New Guinea. The researcher attributes this to calcium
deficiency which leads to abnormal absorption of aluminum which
causes neuron damage in the brain. Has anyone heard of
aluminum as a causative agent in PD? Does aluminum occur
naturally in foods or does it come from the preparation and
storage of foods in aluminum?
