If your doctor said that he is a PD specialist he is a movement disorder specialist. A doctor becomes a specialist when he completes an additional 2 year fellowship in movement disorders with an emphasis in PD. Not all movement specialist focus on PD. Some doctors are not a specialist, but take a strong interest in PD. To make sure ask your doctor.
