I almost dropped out after I saw the volume of emails I was getting. But I am glad I stayed- this list has given me a lot of answers and (I did not even know some of the questions.) I'm sharing a lot of the info I get on the list with my parents (my Dad has PD). Over time, I've learned to look for threads that I want to follow- and I delete stuff like Jokes that I don't have time for (at least not most of the time). I think the list started off with a few people and has grown- and just because it has it would not be fair to tell the first people to up and leave. I also realize that some of the other non-PD stuff that is shared can be very helpful-I've sent my Dad some of the poems I've seen on the list- and some jokes too. I read the first emails on a thread and then choose to either follow or ignore them- has worked well for me. I like seeing that there are real people laughing and crying-and that I/we are not alone in what we are going thru. Thanx abi (who used to think that getting PD was the last straw for her Dad, who was already blind, but now thinks its not the end of the world)
