I participated in a four mo. test of G.M1 Ganglioside. Their testing procedures were exhaustive, including ones for smell. I was mid-stage PD and tested in low range of normal on the smell tests. Before PD(or before I knew about it,my sense of smell was acute. Now about four yrs later, I can smell very little. I suspect the sense of smell declines as D cells die. Also, be very cautious and check out any OTC meds if you are taking Eldepryl.It has some very serious adverse reactions to lots of drugs. barbcue
