I know this is a while ago - but I'm not sure if it has been resolved. But I know I recently called to get a prescript from this other pharmacy tht my dr deals with and the recorded message said that "many people are allergic to the other non-active ingredients in their meds" and that they will work with you to get a formulation that is best for you. They are in NJ and have a 1-800-# if you are interested I'll dig it out for you. donna > > To List friends > > > A member of our support group has a problem and hopes the list can help. > This is her story. > > Some (many?) drugs have a filler added to the active ingredients in the > tablet .The Mirapex sold in Canada has just such a filler--- cornstarch. > Cornstarch is not supposed to cause trouble but there are people who are > allergic to it. > > This is what happened... > She filled her prescription for Parkinson medication, she took the first > dose and she had an allergic reaction.
