You don't say how old your mom is - her story is very familiar to mine - I
am 59 yrs. old and have had Parkinson for 3 1/2 yrs. Diagnosed that is.
The doctors seem to know the prognosis is for a long time so after giving us
a prescription they pretty well have a wait and see attitude. When I leave
the office now they don't give me another appt. they know I'll come when
there are questions or problems. Should she get better treatment? Perhaps
but in the meantime books on PD are very available, and they do contain much
info on the disease. I do go for counselling, but no support group here.
Hope she is ok. (Books? If you want titles ask me - I will send them.)
Would like to hear how her PD started. Regards. Fleurette
