The program showed a person who had had Essential Tremor for the last 20 = years. She had a Deep Brain Stimulation Operation where an electrode is = implanted in the brain and later is activated by a Battery Operated = Device, siimilar to a Pace Maker. The operation went quite well, the person's tremors stopped. This = operation has now been approved by the FDA on a trial basis and it = should be available in the next two years.
