I read with interest the discussion on Long term care. I was unable to get it for Mel as he has PD but the agency was anxious to write it for me-----had open heart surgery '95. In fact I got a discount (can only surmise it is because you don't see cardiacs in NH but you do see progressive diseases such as PD). I would probably not be in a NH as I would be more at risk of heart attack or sudden death than Mel. The agency I used was GE Assurance for $181,/mo. I felt the need for it as Mel will probably use up our financial support as he is in the NH now and on dialysis. Mary CG Mel 77/12
