Jerry, First of all, let me applaud you on your development of the WebRing. What a wonderful, quick response! Secondly, here's an idea for a site that could be useful. How about gathering together all the information about contacting congressmen, etc. to get the Udall bill funding released? This might include: Sample and actual letters Text of the testimonies Lists and contact information for congressmen and senators Information on which congressmen/senators signed the original bill and which ones sit on the appropriations committees The President's remarks when he signed the bill (along with follow-up comments on the validity of some of his statements) Barb Brock's efforts at preparing petitions Other suggestions for increasing public awareness of PD The site might also be a good place to maintain the various proclamations that were issued about Parkinson's Awareness Day. What I'm envisioning is a Parkinson's Activist site. All of the information I've recommended has been posted here and is available in the archives, but a Web site could bring it all together in one place for easier research. Even if we are successful soon at getting that funding released, it's sure not the end of the fight towards finding a cure. Now, having thrown out my idea, unfortunately I am not volunteering to develop the site. Sorry, but Web development is just not my "thing" right now and I'm afraid that too much of my time is taken up with managing a full time business and caregiving. My hope is that someone here will find my idea worthwhile and run with it. Any takers? Jane Koenig
