Just received my Parkinson Update, a newsletter of Montana, N. Dakota, and Wyoming Information and Referral Center. They listed two new booklets and a new Educational Supplement. PD 'n' Me is the new book on coping by people who have Parkinson's. The other is How to Start a Parkinson"s Support Group.This book is full of ideas on how to get going etc. The new Educational Supplement is The Challenge of Parkinson's Disease: Adapting to a Nursing Home. This supplement is full of information on how to make the transition work for the PD client, the care giver and the nursing home. These are available from our Center. I would think other APDA centers would also have them. Otherwise I imagine you could get them here. The phone number is 406 455-2964. If anyone wants the address let me know.
