FYI for anyone interested: --------------- What are you doing October 5 and 6, 1998? If you are interested in the quality of healthcare information on the Internet, then the Internet Healthcare Coalition urges you to attend our first annual conference: Quality Healthcare Information On The Net '98 Delivering on the Promise This two-day conference will be held in McLean Virginia, just outside Washington DC at the facilities of Mitretek Systems, Inc. The full program has not yet been finalized, but we will have panels and interactive audience participation in at least the following areas: STANDARDS for quality of health information on the Internet. HEALTH FRAUD on the Internet REGULATION and other policy issues HEALTH INFORMATION GATEKEEPERS ON THE INTERNET and others to be determined. If you are interested in being on a panel and have ideas for topics, pleas contact Bill Lundberg <[log in to unmask]>, who is helping us organize the program. We are planning for over 200 people to attend from patient advocacy groups, policy makers, media, health professional groups, content providers and publishers, health site webmasters and administrators, etc. Further information about the conference, including the complete preliminary program, list of panel members, and registration information will be posted to this list and on the Coalition's web site (www.ihc.net) in about 2 weeks.
