Hi Janet and everyone

Nando.net replied:
>While, technically, it is a violation of the law for you to do any more
>than view the articles on Nando.net, it is unlikely that simply making >a
print-out of an article, would end up in prosecution.

I thought the response from Nando.net was very appropriate and apt. it
should reassure most people that limited, personal use is OK. Certainly,
those that are concerned about protecting their copyright are most concerned
about large-scale (undefined, however) infringement. "Wholesale" does not
necessarily mean for profit by the person copying, but the loss of potential
profit by the original publisher.

Personally, I have taken the position that anything *I* put on the web or
net is freely available to anyone who wants to use it -- short of their
making a profit from it, of course. Common courtesy and decency should take
care of the question of source acknowledgement.

From what I have seen all of you who dig up all of the valuable information
about Parkinson's have been fair and careful in attributing
your source. Citations in a list like Parkinsn, this is just good PR and
advertising for Reuters, Medline, Nando.net, etc.

So, continue the great work of dissemination!

TTFN and best to all,

Peter
