I'm from Andover, MA, and there is the same availability for two months
supplies of drugs via Merck-Medco, which works very well indeed. As I must
handle regular copayments for two kinds of insulin, for diabetic blood sugar
monitoring machine strips, for syringes, in addition to 5 prescription
medications related to PD, I'd be in the poorhouse for sure without it. The
only hitch is the need to allow 10 days to obtain the meds, and the need to
have the meds all arrive in a place that will be occupied, so that they can in
fact be hand-delivered. Those two considerations required an enhancement of
my organizational skills! One solution has been to ask my physicians always
to write two prescriptions for any drug -- one (for up to two weeks duration)
to be left with the local pharmacy, and one (refillable as many times as the
doctor is willing) for a two-month's supply from Merck-Medco.

Try it; you'll like it.
