Bradyphrenia (9 May 1998) I don't know about other illnesses, but PD seems to stir up scientific debate (e.g., value of selegiline, toxicity of levodopa). Listmember Heit Bill suggested adding "bradyphrenia" (poverty in speed and maybe quality of thinking) to my recently posted outline of symptoms. A 5-year Medline search turned up 20 citations, of which 8 related to PD; 7 of those offered abstracts, mostly about whether bradyphrenia is a valid symptom of PD or not. The tally is 3 pro, 4 con.
