Parkinson's disease is associated with a number of visual difficulties [ dry
eyes, blepharitis, blepharospasm, convergence and divergence insufficiency,
gaze pareses] and common complaints include blurring, discomfort, burning,
diplopia, but deficits in color vision are not among them. Problems with color
vision can result from retinal diseases e.g. macular degeneration, retinitis
pigmentosa, and a host of drugs, from the phenothiazines [Mellaril,
chlorpromazine] that can cause both macular degeneration and parkinsonian
symptoms; to digoxin [Lanoxin];; and even Viagra that makes vision blue!
What is the specific problem you are having with color vision?
