As suggested when I joined, I am introducing myself. I am only daughter =
of 78 y/o father with severe PD and 71 /o mother with early but rapidly =
progressing Alzheimer's. I am primary caregiver for them but do have =
fulltime sitters to help (thank goodness). I have 2 brothers who live =
out of state and can't/won't help much. I am an ER nurse and am dealing =
well with the special health needs...feeding tube, colostomy, limited =
mobility. But I am having a very hard time dealing with my father's =
loss of independence, privacy, and dignity despite all that I do to =
maximize each. He is to a point where he wants to die especially now =
that he is having to watch mom decline so rapidly. I am mostly looking =
to this group for advice, support and companionship with others who =
understand this situation.=20
