Hello all, A new writing-aid for PWP is introduced in the Netherlands. As far as I know for the moment it wil only be available in the Netherlands. The price will be about 400 dutch guilders, comparable to 200 american dollars. The manufacturer of this product has used the experiences of test-persons (PWP) during demonstrations to optimize the frequency of the tremor made by the device. I wrote with the pen myself, but since I don't have writing-problems yet, the pen had no positive result on my writing. Until now about half of the PWP that tried the pen find the pen helpful, the other half has no positive result or doesn't like the pen at all. Translation of the dutch commercial text: "In may 1998 a new and unique writing-aid called "DYNAMIC" will be introduced. The writing-aid is especially developed for people with Parkinson's Disease. The prototypes of the DYNAMIC are thoroughly tested by an independent institute. The writing-aid consists of two parts: the DYNAMIC-LINER: the writing-aid (the pen), and the DYNAMIC-LOADER: the loader to (re)charge the LINER. Depending on the PD-symptoms you can write with the DYNAMIC-LINER with a better readable result and you can write for a longer period. As you use the DYNAMIC-LINER you feel a tremor made by the device. This tremor has a relaxing effect on your muscles so you can write more easily. The writing-aid "floats" as it were across the paper. The writing goes light and easy. With the DYNAMIC-LINER your own handwriting is clearly readable. And you can write for a longer period. Due to the handy format you can take the DYNAMIC-LINER anywhere. This makes the DYNAMIC-LINER a unique writing-aid uncomparable to other writing-aids. The build-in accu of the DYNAMIC-LINER can easily be (re)charged with the DYNAMIC-LOADER. The DYNAMIC-LINER contains a standard inkfilling which can easily be exchanged. The inkfilling is available at any local bookstore." Someone from the company that makes this writing-aid will visit me this wednesday, so if you have questions, I will try to get the right answers from him !! Greetings, Hans.
