I would love to hear anything anyone knows about the experimental-in-the-USA surgery called subthalamic stimulator implant (or something like that.) They are trying to set up a program doing this surgery at USC and the surgeon there has said it would be probably more helpful to my mother than a pallidotomy. This is because she does not have the dyskinesia which is the most helped symptom, by a pallidotomy. She does have a lot of bradykinesia, stiffness and slowness. Debbie [log in to unmask]
