I can't follow all that, but I did not notice the benefits of tandem walking
extolled. My bride and I used to do this just for grins in the pre PD days.
Then a couple of years ago, we discovered that it works when I would otherwise
be frozen.  I have noticed other couples using side by side variations of
this.
I have a hard time believing that most PWPs haven't discovered this.  However
for the few who haven't:

How to tandem walk:
1.  Start out very close behind another person-almost to lightly touching
bodies
2.  Walk together in a lock step fashion

Dr DeLong (Emory U, Atlanta has opined that it is the abundance of sensory
information that makes the thing work.  Why is sometimes not as important as
that it does.  This works for me.
