Now that the Toronto production of the York Plays is successfully
completed, it's a good time to remind everyone that in July the Guilds
of York themselves will bring forth their plays for the first time in
400 years.

Eleven plays--from the spectacular Creation of the World to the
Mercers' terrifying Doomsday -- will be brought forth on pageant
waggons by the Guilds of York in the streets of the ancient city.
Musicians and liveried waggon crews join guildsmen and other
performers in a mediaeval holiday atmosphere, on Sunday 12 July, from
midday to 6pm, at five stations in the city centre.
