Den,

Well, I don't know if anyone on the list  would go so far as to say they
trust me but I'm the only one on the list that has admitted that I have had
this surgery.  I think there are only 123 or so in the United States, but
becoming more frequent every day.

I had flailing diskinesia before the surgery and none now.  I don't take
sinemet any more.  One side is better than the other now but not bad enough
to want to take sinemet.

This is an internal device. They were experimenting with an external one in
Canada a couple  of years ago but I haven't heard of it since.  It had too
high a risk for infection.

You need to ask a lot more questions.  I'll be happy to try to answer the
ones I can.
