Dear Gail,
Having being diagnosed at 50 years old I can understand just what your
sister is going through. Everything written in the first reply letter
was the name Raeger? is correct and followed my pattern over the years
of progression . I went to a support group right at the beginning but
was not ready to accept that maybe too I should need a wheelchair with
difficulties in communication, but I think it gave me the fighting
spirit to try to lead as normal a life as I was able. I worked with the
little demon PD for 8 years before I felt the need to hear how everybody
else was coping and it opened up a whole new world giving me the
strength to help others who were not so fortunate as I in the slow
progression of PD I was able to collect so much helpful information
and in return give it,that also is part of my therapy and love and
support from my dear husand and family along with medication has been
my means of survival over these years of many adjustments on both sides
of the rail.
Good luck to you and your sister I found the best way for me at least
was to work with that little demon still with a little agression but
fighting against it is not physically or mentally advantageous.
Sincerely
Margaret Clark-love hope and prayer and research today -fnd the cure
