Sue, I was with my mother when she died, but she was in a nursing home and in a coma when I was notified. I was so glad I was able to be with her. She died on my birthday. I took care of her for over a year until she was more than I could handle. She was in a NH from July to February. The following poem I have found very comforting. I think I first received it when my Dad died.
