Your mandate will entail administering the Centre for Support of Teaching (CST), a unit that provides a broad range of services in the area of higher education teaching and learning. Reporting to the Academic Director and working collaboratively with instructors and administrative staff at different levels, you will research, design and co-ordinate programs to support pedagogical development for the York community and remain current on literature, activities and global developments in the area of teaching and learning at the postsecondary level. A university graduate, preferably at the post-graduate level, you bring to this challenging role experience in academic administration. Knowledgeable about academic and administrative decision-making processes, you are proficient at organizing, communicating, presenting and report writing/analysing, and possess skills in initiating, developing, implementing and monitoring complex, sensitive projects. Team-oriented, your demonstrated flexibility and tact are highlighted by the ability to work productively in a rapidly-changing, high-pressure environment, under minimal supervision. You are skilled in word-processing, spreadsheets, communications software, and preferably also in budgetary planning, statistics packages, database software and web page design/maintenance. A successful teaching record, ideally at the post-secondary level, would be an asset.
