We lived for nearly 40 years on a ranch in the San Joaquin Valley of
California where the economy is based on agrigulture. We were surrounded by
a wide variety of farming operations producing a wide variety of food and
fiber. Fighting bugs, worms and spores with pesticides, herbicides,
vermicides, and fungicides was a battle enthusiastically pursued by our
neighbors, and by us. Our water came from our own deep well. My husband
developed PD when he was in his mid 60's. I do not have this problem, and
neither do our now middle-aged children, who drank it from infancy. We
always had the water tested at least once a year, and these tests never
revealed any amounts of harmful chemicals.

We wish we knew where to place the blame for Neal's PD, but it does not seem
likely that well water has been that factor.
