My neurologist has just droopped the bombshell thaat I have reached the end of the road as far as medication is concerned, and that the time has come to comsider surgery of some sort or other. Presently she leans towards DBS. Or maybe pallidotomy . However I do not have any insurance, and there is no way I can pay for surgery. Ergo , I need to be part of some research program that will cover the costs! Does anyone know how I could do that? I mean, how do research scientist find their guinea pigs?
