This could be the result of distention of small veins / capillaries. Isosorbide dinitrate expands blood vessels. Cardizem is a calcium channel blocker which can cause "edema." Mevacor is a cholesterol blocker which can make the vein walls less thick. Aspirin can also cause the problem, purpera.
