Perhaps not.

Life happens. The rain falls on the just and the unjust. The entire book
of Job was devoted to suffering. At the end of the book, the message is
clear - God does not punish us with illness because of our sinfulness - Job
was an entirely righteous man. The Creator of the universe does not look
kindly upon 'Job's comforters' for implying that his actions caused his
affliction

I doubt, Jacob, that you are any different than Job. Suffering with PD is
terrible - I've watched my husband endure this disease for almost 20 years
now. But my husband does not look forward to death - he looks forward to
life, and in doing so he brings joy to his children and to me - to say
nothing of everyone else who knows him.

If you have faith, then you understand that God gives you the grace to
persevere despite PD. Why you have been afflicted is not the question. How
you will give glory to God through your pain is.
