Hi Marling,

The old versions of the operating system of an Apple MacIntosh will function
correctly untill 02/06/2040.
The more recent versions can deal with even much later dates!

There is however a limitation: the Date and Time control panel of the MAC
can only deal with dates between 01/01/1920 and 12/31/2019.
At the time this function was added for compability with the MacIntosh 6
general control panel. This can be adjusted by using the MacIntosh-toolbox
Call SetDateTime.

Conclusion: no problem will occur until 2019.
By that time you probably will have bought a new MAC!!

Hans.

P.S.:
Your mail comes in registered at "+1600".
That suggests there is a time-difference between your home and Greenwich
Mean Time of 16 hours. However the time-difference can be no more than 12
hours. How do you do that??
