I I should guess your PET scans at UCLA were part of a research program- they are still too scarce and costly for routine patients. Not sure about this because I'm a Kaiser member, but I think even the cheaper and far less informative MRI scan would be $1000 or so if you had to pay for it. Cheers, Joe -- J. R.
